OSHA 10 Hours Construction in English

Course Description

Students will learn to recognize, avoid, and prevent hazards on a job-site. Course also provides important information regarding employer responsibilities, workers’ rights, and how to file a complaint.

Course is completed in OSHA required 2 days, 6 hours each day.

When a student successfully completes an OSHA 10-hour construction course, they will receive the official DOL / OSHA 10-hour wallet card.

Audience

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course is intended for employers and workers who need to carry an OSHA 10-Hour Card.

1. Introduction to OSHA
   1. OSHA Focus Four Hazards
      1. Falls
      2. Electrocution
      3. Struck-By (e.g., falling objects, trucks, cranes)
      4. Caught-In or Between (e.g., trench hazards, equipment)
   2. Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment
   3. Health Hazards in Construction.

2. Elective – 2 of the topics below
   1. Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, & Conveyors
   2. Excavations
   3. Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal
   4. Scaffolds
   5. Stairways and Ladders
   6. Tools – Hand and Power
